A Time for Honesty and Connection
As Relational Psychotherapeutic Counsellors, our work is dedicated to helping others find their voice. But what does mental health and therapy mean to us, personally and professionally?
Our Collective Voice: What Mental Health Means to Us
The truth is, even as practitioners, mental health is not a constant state of perfection. It is a continuous journey of growth, maintenance, and self-compassion.
To honour this reality, the members of the Indigo Thinking collective each shared a short clip reflecting on what mental health or the therapeutic process means to them. Our hope in sharing these personal truths is to break down the last barriers of stigma, showing you that therapy is a human relationship built on shared vulnerability.
In this video, you will hear reflections on:
- The true meaning of “self-care.”
- Therapy as a process of “coming home to yourself.”
- Mental health as a spectrum, not a destination.
- The courage required to start (and continue) the work.
These personal clips underscore the core of our Relational approach. We don’t just offer techniques; we offer a genuine, human relationship. Seeing your counsellor as a fellow human who understands the struggle, and the commitment required for change, is what allows Relational Repair to happen.
On this World Mental Health Day, we stand with you, acknowledge the challenges, and celebrate the immense courage it takes to look inward and seek help.
